Having missed our chance last year (because someone left booking too late) we have been confirmed at Baillie Lodges first luxury destination, Capella Lodge, for well over a year.  And we can't wait!

Planning is underway, so watch this space ...

We will have only just returned home, but with another Conference on the cards the chance to indulge in plunge pools, spa treatments and flavoursome cuisine in beautiful Bali just can't be missed.  

Long on our list, we have finally locked in a visit to Greenland.  And while in that part of the world, we will take the opportunity to explore the Faroe Islands, and with luck feast at Noma in the Denmark capital!

The Western Australian June long weekend seemed a perfect opportunity to finally head south for some ... truffle hunting!!!  That's right, Manjimup in the WA South West is the home of Australian truffles, and they are seriously good (we have eaten Manjimup truffles all around the world including in at Per Se in New York City).  So wish us luck ...

Another trip to NSW, this time to take in the Hunter Valley, some time in the ever appealing city of Sydney, mainly for the fine dining, and then finishing with a short weekend in Bowral!

Investigations have been completed and so our second India trip is confirmed.  It will be an almost exclusively national parks affair with the name of the game ... Tigers!!!

D's long time Team Member, Melanie, is finally tying the knot with her beau, Fraser, and the nuptials will be taking place in Mel's home town of Hamilton, New Zealand. So of course we will be there "with bells on" to help them celebrate.  And who knows, we may even sneak in a visit to one of those breathtaking luxury spots on the North Island we have coveted for so long.

We continue to further our travels around our somewhat neglected home country.  This February we hope to visit Lord Howe off the east coast and enjoy the hospitality of Capella Lodge.

Deposits are paid and flights booked - it doesn't appear to be the easiest place to travel, but Madagascar here we come.  Highlights will be of course the lemurs (with hopefully some newborns at that time of year), the tsingy and the island resort of Tsarabanjina.

The September long weekend should be a great opportunity to continue to see more of the beauty our own country has to offer.  So we hope to find an indulgent destination with a warming fireplace within this beautiful area of New South Wales and enjoy a fine red and good company with A's sister Jenna and hubby James.

Our day jobs mean a lot of conferences and so whenever possible, we tag on some luxury travel and adventures.  August sees us heading to Bali (an obvious conference location, but still very pleasant these days all the same) so we will be taking this opportunity to visit another Alila Hotel!
